Have Your Say on the Future of Your GP Services
From 1st July 2024, Aston Healthcare is proposing changes to how GP services are delivered in Halewood. If approved, the Leathers Lane Surgery and Camberley Medical Centre branch sites will close, with all patients being automatically assigned to Roseheath Surgery.
This change aims to:
✅ Provide sustainable, high-quality, and consistent care for patients.
✅ Improve access to more clinical staff.
✅ Futureproof the practice by enhancing recruitment opportunities.
Why Are These Changes Being Proposed?
The NHS faces significant challenges, including limited funding and difficulties recruiting new doctors and nurses as staff retire or move on. By consolidating services, Aston Healthcare can ensure continued care while improving access and efficiency.
Roseheath Surgery and Aston Healthcare already work closely together as part of Primary Care Knowsley and the West Knowsley Primary Care Network, delivering services such as extended access during evenings and weekends. If the proposal is successful, all staff from Aston Healthcare’s Halewood locations will transfer to Roseheath Surgery, strengthening the practice team.
